Mrs. Eaves Typography Book
This book was themed all around the typeface Mrs. Eaves, designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996. I wanted certain pages to be really fun visually to showcase the variety Mrs. Eaves offer. Other pages were intended to display how common Mrs. Eaves is used in our everyday lives; book covers, movie posters, music albums. There are so many variants that this typeface offers making this a really fun project to create.
The Beginning
In the initial stages of designing this book, I wanted to get a general idea for how I wanted to showcase the typeface in different ways. Mrs. Eaves is incredibly common for album covers, book covers, and restaurant menus. I wanted that to be displayed throughout this typography book alongside the variations that Mrs. Eaves offers as a font (Bold, Italic, Roman, Small Caps, etc.)
Typography
Mrs. Eaves comes in a variety of appearances. They are all relatively similar in the way they look but serve their on individual purpose for designing. I wanted them all to utilized and showcased throughout this book.
Colors
I wanted to include the primary colors since they pair so nicely next to one another and utilized green alongside them. It was a large enough color palette that each color didn’t feel overused and each page was different but still cohesive.
